@brettrlee Yes, dog bone , bridge, rental revenue. What style w/l system is that, is it one of the continuous J style, don’t see any hyd hoses coming off it.
@rocks_boffin There are some great 3d print files available for double decker bridge supports and track pieces. At least you can still do geotechnical work for their build.
Wanted a flare volume tracking tool with no subscription, not perfect but its free. Uses the NASA VIIRS dataset so you only get a snapshot the 1-2 hours the satelite is overhead each night. Its imperfect but code is here if you want a copy: https://t.co/d8vBs6rEG0
@colinmhngry@impetro9 Reversible? Inject it with saturated brine to dehydrate clays, pump it at a constant lower rate to reduce migration back towards the wellbore? Hard to know for sure without a core to test it(which we never have), or a bucket frac to get past the damage?
@WampumMining@wtxoil Since I heard Mike say this, we have used some version of this safety 3rd talk everywhere I’ve worked. Especially when someone thought it was a good idea to put me in charge of the safety program. https://t.co/0gxSgCRInB
I’m no expert on these reservoirs, in reservoirs like these(mid to heavy API) it’s possible to have a negative impact on production, the mechanism would be skin(blockage of perfs, pores, of fractures) with asphaltines or scale. The reservoirs across Iraq are pretty diverse in their crude and drive mechanism, so will probably see different reaction functions across the various field’s.
@Hotdogremix If there’s any iron sulfide chase the xylene/tolulene / y-grade(whatever is cheapest near you) with NeFe. The light stuff strips off the oils and parading normally coating your scale to the acid can eat it.
oil & gas bucks nearly every american de-industrialization or "stagnation" trend.
the US went from planning LNG import terminals to becoming the world’s largest exporter in <10 years. and to do it, we built some of the most complex, massive equipment ever designed.
tbh, it’s one of the only areas where we still execute highly complex megaprojects. not flawlessly, but at a speed and level of technical sophistication that stands in sharp contrast to basically everything else.
success has led to re-engineering entire supply chains around hydrocarbon abundance. cheap O&G feeds chemicals, fertilizers, plastics, steel, power markets, etc. and i don't know if/when AGI will come, but I am pretty sure it will drink gas, too.
importantly, as we scale the electro-industrial technologies that increasingly define the future, we need to bring this same depth of expertise and execution. we must learn from O&G!
@Compounds365@max_gagliardi O&G veterans are geared to innovate, overcome, and execute. With applied curiosity they will leverage the skills that brought us the shale revolution to overhaul the energy space writ large.
@ODstrothers Impossible to know, the process of unsetting and Pooh commonly causes packers to look like this. Only way to have answered that question was a backside test before releasing. Even that wouldn’t be super definitive, could be a Tbg leak, etc.
