I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.

Random Steve Jobs related IT story:
Apple had a corporate directory hierarchy that was used for approvals. Every employee was linked to their boss, then their boss, and so on up the chain…until it reached employee ID #2 (Mr Jobs).
Many internal systems used that hierarchy for approvals: purchase requests, change requests, expense reports, personnel changes. Even corporate directory! They all used the same libraries, accessed the same databases, and terminated their tree traversal at ID #2.
In 2011 Mr Jobs’ entry was, sadly, removed from the database.
All those systems broke…simultaneously.
IT helpdesk even had trouble paging support because corporate directory was broken.
