Recently I (Tim) moved to the University of Mpumalanga. Soon after arriving here I was shown some stunning #rockart between Mbombela and White River, and then told about some art in town that I duly visited. We are surrounded by #archaeology and #heritage in #southafrica

Recently I have started writing more with students and I've been using my experiences from this paper, and others, to help mentor these young and impressive scholars. My hope is that I can help with those negative feelings I struggled with and be a positive influence.

I learnt a lot, as anyone would with their first paper, and I was grateful to have helpful and patient co-authors. Now I really enjoy writing papers but it took a long time to get to this point and I still learn with each output.
