Take serious things seriously. Don't make everything something serious. Don't take yourself too serious. You live. You die. Laugh at things in between, most of all at yourself
Preachers, don't preach the Gospel so as to make it Law. Don't forget that it is Good News. Some preach it with such command that there is no reason to believe other than being told to do so. They have no problem saying God is holy, but you'll never catch them saying God is love.
Gladiator fights on the White House lawn, lavish spending on a new banquet hall, while a war launched on personal whim simmers in the Middle East. Quite a look for the American Republic as it nears its 250th birthday.

Dear writers,
Please do not use any AI platform to write your content. It is called “artificial” for good reason. If you have a calling to write, then write. Pray deeply. Study extensively. Write carefully. We want and need to read beautiful prose from you.
@johnandrewwords Sure they seek to undermine the current status makers, but let's not fool ourselves, there is the deep seated desire to be the new status makers not just to be the court jester.
@johnandrewwords I think the "we're doing it to be ironic, intentional, and over exaggerated" as been a bate and switch, or a mask. That's what us claimed when there is pushback, until the overton window shifts, or they realize the seductive lure of the attention, it represents them.
@NeilShenvi Agreed. I think that's exactly why/where complimentarians need to be gracious. We are splitting hairs and trying to apply Biblical principles to new technologies. Let's not overly bind consciences and proclaim dogmatic certainty.
@NeilShenvi That's true. Good points. I guess I was thinking (a) presence does matter; and (b) gathered church service setting matters, which is why women can write blog, articles, books, or be on church podcasts and they aren't "doing elder roles," IMO.
