I’m in Egypt where my Dad served in WW2. He broke his leg & would tell tales of speeding around the streets as a pillion on a motorbike, his leg in a cast sticking off the side. So a book about bikes & the lead up to 1939 by @matoxley seems an apt metaphor to encapsulate all that
@denkmit Got to be @BenSpies11 as a Suzuki wildcard. Especially at Laguna where he competed in the AMA races during the weekend, very different machinery and tyres.
@matoxley I think the few of us that saw him as a raw teenager on the UK scene knew he was something special. A real talent who probably deserved more success than he achieved.
@matoxley Had my doubts about Crowe, but he was superb, as was the whole story. Most difficult thing was not seeing It as Freddie Mercury doing the interviews 😳
