I know I was never a big fan of Brexit. But it's done. And I do seem to recall a promise of ยฃ350 million a week for the NHS. Here's a picture of that promise. That's ยฃ18.2 billion a year that @michaelgove and @BorisJohnson promised. So that's the nurse's pay issue solved. Right?
I wept in my car as I drove through London this evening. So many people out & about. Iโd just finished a 12hr day (ICU Dr) on a Covid ICU. Patients fighting for their lives. One sadly died. The UK lockdown is a joke. Is >30,000 deaths not enough?! #extendlockdown
#EasterSaturday is an apt time to re-read my favourite book, #albertcamus#theplague which charts a pandemic taking over the most ordinary of existences and routines and the search for meaning where there is none. And into the fear and the sadness only deep silence.

When I first became a Conservative activist, Michael Heseltine, Ken Clarke and Chris Patten were senior Cabinet Ministers. John Major was Leader of the Party.
Some years later, I am running as an Independent. All four have endorsed me. Shows how much the Party has changed.
