1/ The events of the past 72 hours will be studied in detail, but the lessons that emerge will be timeless:
(1) perceptions create their own realities, and
(2) diversification reduces risk, for everybody.

Always wonder how many people & iterations it takes to make something so complex so simple… Also a great example of how images can be so much more efficient than words.
Not even 8am at the polls here in Vegas. Only 6 out of 20 voting machines are workin & line is already 100+ people long. Anyone out there working on voting tech? I’ve gotta be missing something here… lol
Movie idea: Will Ferrell is a retired pickle ball champion, coming out of retirement as the sport is finally gaining popularity. Ferrell just ad libs the whole thing.
I feel like this is a guaranteed $100M box office return.
Adjacent to this is the impact faster payments (RTP & FedNow) will have on compliance. Being able to move away from batch processing & slow settlement times of ACH has the potential to turn *certain* high-risk use cases into low-risk (or even no-risk) use cases
Big blocker to this is payments data. When you map the way most fintechs handle financial data, it’s a total mess. They’re usually reconciling b/w multiple sources (ERP, TPP, bank accounts, multiple products, etc.) & have no central source of truth
This is a bit in the weeds but the importance of it can’t be understated. ERPs have typically served as central source of truth for CFOs and finance teams. However, ERPs (or GLs more broadly) don’t track the granular financial data fintechs need to automate compliance
@debliu_ Lol this hits hard. When I used to teach third grade, my students could not comprehend how I could make bubble letters so quickly. I would tell them, “making bubble letters was my TikTok when I was your age”
@AdamMGrant This is a well-understood topic in pedagogy. Whether you look at something like Bloom’s Taxonomy or simply think about “passive” vs “active” recall – you’re asking the brain to do two entirely different things (even if the information is the same).
Big news in the land of embedded fintech...Amazon partnering w/ Parafin to offer:

Anyone working in FinTech use "intra-bank" payments at all (also called "on-us payments" or "book transfers") to provide faster access to funds, to expedite returns processings, to process payments on Saturday, to reduce fees, etc? Would love to learn more if you are. #fintech
Highly recommend @seema_amble & @dhaber's article on financial operations. My takeaways are here: https://t.co/BzFRSTJiWx. Full article can be found here: https://t.co/jFvNOgDDMZ
