@Splashgod412011 Idk I think it's 50/50/50 situation lol. Johnson should have called timeout, Wemby shouldn't have hot potatoed, Castle should have been expecting the ball. I'd need to see a replay but I wasn't shocked Wemby wanted to give it to him.
Knicks are just an undeniably tough ass team man. Got a little lucky at the end but it always takes that. They are taking it to the Spurs physically, esp. Wemby, in a way OKC couldn't summon.
However this game ends, I feel like the Spurs adjusted pretty well overall. Wemby in a funk in the first half and Castle with some classic young PG silly mistakes but Fox has been way better and all their guards look a little more comfy. Defense swarming. Need a little luck.
Bridges and Shamet both on flame thrower level heaters this whole playoffs is just one of those "it's our year" things that's sort of undeniable if you've been watching the league for a while. Shooting with unconscious confidence. Can't fake that.
Wemby coming to life >>> Spurs did a much better job getting him touches closer to the basket moving downhill to start the half. Got him in an aggressive rhythm touching the ball in the paint. Still no answer for KAT playmaking from either wing though. Got lucky with that foul.
@517to214 Not sure how hot a take this is but my instinct from the Lakers' perspective is to let him & LeBron walk if they won't take a haircut to stay. Lakers are more than a player or two away from a title.
Trying to reconcile the festering decay of bad leadership through the lens of a single error in judgement will only yield confusion. Mismanaging and squandering Luka and Brunson in such spectacular fashion were merely loud symptoms of a much more devastating disease — hubris.
@thebeltwayagent Feel like elite signaling is a huge part of this. I get the sense that lots of politically-interested ppl have a couple political media faves whose takes and level of ire they essentially mimic with few exceptions. Seems factional more than partisan to me though.
Whatever her ceiling is, something I appreciate about Angel Reese is that she's not afraid to look silly adding to her game in real time. You could see it in Unrivaled and the last 2 WNBA seasons, trying more finishing with the right hand and shooting open 3s off the catch.
