자존감이 낮은 사람: 1) 자신의 내면의 소리보다 다른 사람의 시선을 지나치게 신경쓴다. 다른 사람에게 지나치게 친절하거나 혹은 적대적이다. 2) 다른 사람이 잘되는 것을 못 본다. 사돈이 땅을 사면 배가 아프다. 3) 사랑받는 것이 어떤 조건이 있어야만 되는 것으로 생각한다.

다른 사람에게 쉽게 분노하는 것은 본인의 낮은 자존감 표현이며 스스로를 사랑하지 못하는 열등감의 반증이다.

생각이 경직되고 (자기방식만 고집하는 것), 분노가 쉽게 차오른다면 나의 교만함을 의심해보라.
