The ATA (Australian Timetable Association) is an organisation for anyone interested in the study of transport timetables, schedules, maps and associated items.
@TobiasHudson5@TrainLinkNorth There were notifications in the @NextThere app that services were being shown incorrectly as cancelled. obviously with services being run not to the timetable and with limited trains they have to run ad-hoc services
Brisbane's generally infrequent train network will get more trips in a new timetable starting soon. Amongst the changes will be new Sunday service on the Doomben line. https://t.co/o50GD5c5e5

Have I got a treat for my Launceston followers tonight... An original Launceston Tramways timetable from 1947. Interestingly, it is a clock-face timetable in most parts! https://t.co/c19Zk46nnB
Today we’ve taken the first step to bring our railways back under public ownership and deliver more reliable services for passengers.
Great British Railways will manage the network and public services under one body, creating a unified, simplified rail system.
The ACT Government recently published a benefits realisation report looking at the first five years of operation of Canberra's light rail line. Lots of good news! Some things I found particularly interesting:

#Eurostar
From the Great Britain Passenger Railway Timetable 27 September 1998 - 29 May 1999.
There was a plan to introduce direct Eurostar services from Scotland to France.

A map of every regional public transport service in Victoria - including #VLine coaches and non-urban regional buses.
It might look like we have a comprehensive "network", but most of these routes run daily or even weekly.

One for my map fiends - a map of Melbourne in 1956 showing the location of different Olympic events around the metropolitan area! Never seen this map anywhere else and was unaware of its existence. Spotted in Rippon Lea Estate in Elsternwick
Today, 8th December 2007 was the last day that GNER ran East Coast Mainline services. Unapologetically retro, it evoked GER, GNR and GNER; Vignelli Associates created a badge stuffed with motifs: lions of Scotland & England holding green flags, a crown not of flowers but railway track. It was the most Po-Mo of all the post-privatisation liveries and it was glorious. Part of Sea Containers, its downfall is described here: but its brand will not be forgotten (I lifted - gifted by staff I hasten to add, “they’ll go in the skip next week” he said - a large number of lovely GNER cut wine glasses too) ably described by @BeautyOfTranspt :
