The matter is still in court.
I am not doing this for money.
I am not doing this for fame.
I am doing this because that checkpoint is still there. And he is probably still there. And tomorrow it will be someone else who doesn't know they have rights.
Final Call: In March 2026, I am convening The 100 - a closed-door program for Experts, Chiefs of Staff & Senior Executives.

It takes 10 years.
In the US, people say it takes about 5 years to build a successful company.
In Africa?
It takes 10 brutal years.
Year 1 is optimism.
Year 3 is reality.
Year 5 is either death or rebirth.
There is rarely a soft landing in between.
Last week, I was going through photos of some of the most successful founders across Africa. One thing stood out clearly: every single one of them has been grinding for at least a decade.
10 years of:
• Fundraising rejections
• Talent challenges
• Cash flow pressure
• Market skepticism
• Regulatory surprises
• Personal sacrifice
There is no such thing as overnight success here.
What looks like a “sudden breakthrough” is usually 8–10 years of invisible resilience finally compounding.
In Africa, the ultimate KPI is endurance.
Not vanity metrics.
Not press mentions.
Not even valuation.
Endurance.
Africa is a tough market.
But the founders who win are tougher.
If you’re in year 2, stay focused.
If you’re in year 5, don’t quit at the rebirth stage.
If you’re in year 8, you’re closer than it feels.
Stay in the game long enough to compound.
That’s how you win here.
I have followed Uncle @greaterbayo & @LekeAlder for the longest, and how they narrate complex life truths with such simplicity gets me. Their writing is a masterclass drawn from a deep well of experience. I'm eternally grateful and glued to the wisdom and clarity they bring.
Making Decisions at Critical Times
In life, there are many critical moments when we have to take decisions that may have far-reaching implications. There was a time I was faced with such a moment in my career.

Nigeria was the largest ginger exporter in Africa but in 2023, an epidemic happened which affected our ginger. A bag of ginger went from 35k to 800k due to scarcity and demand. To help farmers, Govt approved some funds but Ginger Growers Association told me they never got it
