When, almost a full year ago, UNICEF called Gaza “a war on children”, we did so not out of hyperbole or for a headline, but because of hard evidence on the ground. Appallingly, as per below, such evidence of this war on children keeps mounting.
Artist impression in planning application vs development when actually built.
Notice anything different?
Asked @dccscarea Director of Service about this at last Area Committee and he said DCC aware of "an issue" here.

.@airwars has a major study on Gaza: https://t.co/PPi2EuFQvs It finds Israel's war on Gaza far more lethal for civilians than other recent wars. The total of 1900 children killed by Israel in Gaza in Oct '23 was seven times the number killed in a single month in any other war it has studied.
I'm still thinking about how extremely devastating & horrifying this is. This attack was 850metres from my house at 4am in the morning, no warning, killing civilians in their sleep. #lebanon https://t.co/jrYHZNeU2Q
When student protestors chant “From the River to the Sea,” it means they want to destroy Israel, but when the current Israeli Finance Minister publicly declares his intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza, it doesn’t mean anything, and you’re an antisemite if you suggest it does.
This is one of the most important civil liberties battles happening in America right now, and if you’re a professor (tenured or otherwise) at an American university, you need to be speaking out about it.
The worst are full of passionate intensity; we need to be, too.

This article is more than 2 months old. It's an underestimate. But I can't get over this number. These kids. What a fucking nightmare.
