I am hearing shocking news that @CityWestminster have agreed to hand over #oxfordstreet to the Mayor under red route regulations! What happened to standing up to @MayorofLondon for our residents! How can you say it is needed as a Red route and pedestrianise
Once we have full details I will share.
We welcome the ambition to update John Nash’s vision to connect St. James's Park to Regent's Park by improving the streetscape of Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus.
We are however concerned that the traffic modelling, particularly for Great Windmill Street may not be showing the full impact of the changes. We need to ensure that all residents and local stakeholders are both fully engaged but also listened to during the upcoming consultation period which we feel needs to be longer as it is too short a time for local residents and businesses to consider the implications of these proposals.

Let's never forget the profound importance of these commemorations. May we always honour the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us. As we reflect on their enduring legacy, may we also find wisdom in their experiences. Wishing everyone a meaningful few days. #VE80 #VEDay #VEDay80
@StJamesMatters Lovely to join many local people to celebrate Christmas. It was a treat for us all to sing carols alongside an impromptu choir made up of former choristers from Westminster Abbey Choir School.
We have a new Lord Mayor! @CityWestminster members have voted for Cllr Robert Rigby to become the first citizen for 2024-5. Cllr Rigby said: "It is a huge honour and an enormous privilege to accept this role. Westminster is truly an international and multicultural city".
Wonderful to speak today at the Street Party for Lunar New Year of the Dragon organised by the Chinese Information and Advice Centre in Newport Place, London Chinatown. Excellent performances by members of the community. @ciacuk@StJamesMatters
Great privilege for my colleague Mark and I to join thousands on Sunday at the largest Lunar New Year celebrations outside Asia in Trafalgar Square #CNYLondon@LondonChinatown
We held a community meeting, to update Great Peter Street residents on the actions we are taking to combat anti-social behaviour.
From working with @MPSWestminster and @CityWestminster to engaging with local stakeholders - we are committed to tackling #ASB head-on!

Great to see the Chinese New Year lanterns going up in London Chinatown today in preparation for the Year of the Dragon celebrations on Sunday 11 February @LondonChinatown@StJamesMatters
@CampaignTim @limebike@CityWestminster Spot on. Lime should be far more proactive in collecting their bikes where they are not parked in the designated bays. Also, moving bikes from overcrowded bays promptly. @StJamesMatters
Great to be at the opening this evening of King’s College Glowbot Garden in the Strand: https://t.co/joS00KNbo2. Do visit to see these extraordinary creatures from creative soft robotics studio Air Giants. Sorry for missing this,@CulturalKings@KingsCollegeLon#GlowbotGarden
@PDimoldenberg told me at a @CityWestminster committee tonight that buses are available in Westminster every 3 to 4 minutes. Afterwards I had the choice of waiting 15 or 22 minutes! Long waiting times for buses are on the rise. @StJamesTories @westminstertory
