@gusmears1905 Toothless performance. No fight or urgency. They seemed content not to lose more than 1-0. Could have played for 3 days and still not scored!
The idea that chancellor Rachel Reeves might cut the cash ISA allowance will annoy many a UK saver. But in theory, it's not a bad idea. Trouble is, she'll also need to create an incentive to invest in equities - preferably UK-listed ones. https://t.co/2DOzCufN98

We’ve all heard of UK immigration being high but did you know that the number of people leaving the UK is also very high.
In particular the people a country would most want to keep - entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and the highly skilled. They are leaving in their thousands.
Adjusted for population the UK has lost more wealthy people than any country - by a mile!
The average earner in the top 1% earns £360k per year. They pay £160,000 in tax. They pay the same as about 25 average earners.
These people are leaving because of high taxes. You can see it by the places that are booming. It’s a very mobile world for those at the top.
Especially young talented people. Most of those that don’t own houses or have kids are gone.
The people arriving aren’t high earners. The people leaving are. It’s a vicious circle now.
This morning we announced the Augmentum Fintech plc Interim Results for the six months ended 30 September 2024.

Labour are backing the UK fintech industry but could turbocharge the sector by pushing pension funds to invest more in Britain, a major City boss has said.
“Labour recognises the huge success that the UK fintech industry has had,” Tim Levene, CEO of Augmentum Fintech, told City A.M, as he noted the strength of the UK tech sector fit nicely with the party’s focus on growth.
“There’s a lot of support for what the industry is doing, what it has done, and what they can do to help continue to allow it to thrive,” he added.
However, while everything Levene has heard from the party on fintech has been “really positive”, he argued that it could still be doing more by looking into “creative ideas” for unlocking capital within pension funds.
