I cannot believe it, i did it. I was selected to #hivehelsinki.

I did poorly in the last few projects due to sleep deprivation, but luckily I did really well in the final exam, which probably saved me.

Now my plan is to put everything I have into this school. Everything.

6 months ago I got stuck in #hivehelsinki online test. I was about to quit when I suddenly told myself to keep going. I kept going and going, and now many obstacles later, I will start at Hive on October.

@EOD_Skyrozz Thanks. Sorry to hear about your situation. I think you did really well, so I don't know what happened. It's very difficult to speculate these things because we don't know what are the main things bocal looks for in a candidate.

@tonihintikka Niin, mutta Piscinen tavoite ei olekaan saada hyviä tuloksia, vaan erotella jyvät akanoista.

Jos hajoaa henkisesti tai fyysisesti heti kun työtaakkaa hetkellisesti vähän nostetaan, tuskin selviäisi vuosia IT-alalla ilman totaalista burnouttia.

@tonihintikka Itse oli koulussa keskimäärin noin 13h per päivä, mutta useimmat olivat tilastoista nopeasti katsottuna ehkä jotain 9-10h, ja pitivät myös kokonaisia vapaapäiviä. Ket��än ei pakotettu 15h työpäiviin - jokainen sai valita itselleen parhaiten sopivan rytmin.

@tonihintikka Kukaan ei kuole vaikka tekee 15h työpäiviä kuukauden ajan, tai jos nukkuu yhtenä yönä 5h. Minä tein Piscinessä yhden 37h työputken, jonka aikana nukuin 2h, ja olen ainakin vielä hengissä.

Eihän tuollaisessa mitään järkeä ole, mutta on mielenkiintoista löytää omat rajat.

I don't know what kind of bribes and/or threats of violence you guys used to bypass Finnish bureaucracy so quickly, but this once again proves that the Hive team knows what they're doing and knows how to get things done. Thanks!

@MelissaAlasalmi Yeah, I solved a bunch of Codewars problems today. They are pretty cool.

I remember visiting Codewars before Piscine and I couldn't even get past the super simple problem you need to solve in order to gain access to the site. 😀

Today I've been coding all the projects I failed during #hivehelsinki #piscine. My Sastantua finally has a door knob, yay! 😀

It's a lot of fun to revisit these projects now that my skills have improved and there is zero pressure. I highly recommend everyone to do the same!

Wow. I still cannot believe I survived #piscine #hivehelsinki. I literally did nothing more than eat, sleep and code for almost a month. It was both the most difficult and most fun experience I've ever had. Many thanks to @HiveHelsinki for the opportunity!

How essential are noise-canceling headphones as opposed to regular ones?

I've never used them so I have no idea what kind to buy, and I'd be happy to hear any recommendations. Thanks.
