What I learned is that a great customer experience starts on paper, weeks before your customer arrives.
This experience is the followed up with disciplined execution!
In August we did a big show with Vinka at Lugogo Cricket Oval, and we won big.
What really stood out for me was that not a moment of the night went off script. Here's what that taught me about planning 🧵 #StrategyLessons
We also mapped the experience. We walked through every step a fan would take, from hearing about the show to the drive home.
At each step we asked what could go wrong, and prepared for it before it happened.
Three habits kept everyone with us. We stayed organised, we communicated on time and we stayed accountable.
I put the checklist and stakeholder map I now use into a free guide: https://t.co/8MFQ0oaAUA
A while back, we drove a Ugandan made electric bus from Kampala to Cape Town and back. Over 13,700 km, six countries, 39 days. Two lessons from that road have stayed with me, and I think they might help anyone collaborating on a project 🧵 #StrategyLessons
The second lesson: stakeholder management is everything.
Think of a wedding committee. Everyone has contributed, everyone wants something a little different, and everyone wants updates. Big projects work the same way.
Yesterday, I was proud to represent @Swangz_Avenue , a proud sponsor of #GuluCityMarathon26.
Every step taken was in support of the fight against HIV, raising awareness, and strengthening our communities.
Together, we ran for impact.
