7. No matter how much you give to people, may you always release the expectation that they’ll do the same for you should roles be reversed. #ThePolygamist
The character and his traits are a study on its own. But here are MY few takes that we can learn:
1. Help but don’t be Bob the Builder. Joyce found it hard to leave him because she felt she can’t leave all she’s built to be enjoyed by women that found him already successful.
6. Jonas had deeper issues. Personal issues that only he could heal from. We saw it in how he ended up treating his very own kids and brother. There’s a level of self healing and discovery that no one can talk you into but yourself.
@Jabu_Macdonald On relationships-start believing where people in your life have placed you and match that energy. We tend to over invest in people who will never allow to be inconvenienced by us. Release yourself from going overboard.
@Jabu_Macdonald As priorities change, be adaptable. We can be hard on ourselves in wanting to hold on to the life we’ve built in our minds. Don’t be stuck up in what needs to happen next but live in the moment, be present, knowing also that better days are ahead.
Two small details from Episode 6 of #ShakaIlembeS2 When the episode begins Dingiswayo criticises Zwide for killing his own family (Melusi) and then later in the episode he's put in a situation where he could kill his own son. But he doesn't. Just like how he didn't kill Mawewe.
At the end, why does Zwide call Dingiswayo by his old name, Godongwana? Because Godongwana was a boy, who had to run frim home. This is the first time they've seen each other in years and Zwide is saying to him, after all that, you are here. Look what I've reduced you too, a boy!
