Comrade Andrew Mwenda has told me about a foundation called the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation that is fundraising to build a hostel. Part of the money raised will go to them.
The Road to AFCON 2027 🇺🇬⚽
Today marks a significant milestone as Hoima City hosts the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hoima Booma AFCON Training Facility — a key addition to Uganda’s growing sports infrastructure ahead of AFCON 2027.
The state-of-the-art facility will be constructed by the UPDF Engineering Brigade.
This development follows the approval by Hoima City Council to allocate 6.7 acres of land at Hoima Booma Grounds to the National Council of Sports (NCS), paving the way for the establishment of a modern training complex that will serve teams during AFCON.
The Minister of State for Sports, @OgwangOgwang, is expected to preside over the ceremony.
Uganda continues to make steady, visible progress as preparations for AFCON 2027 gather momentum.

🎙️ Bruno Fernandes on assisting Benjamin Sesko instead of Bryan Mbeumo:
“Mbeumo was a bit annoyed, of course… every attacker wants the ball. But after the goal, I went straight to him. I reminded him of what we spoke about… helping Sesko grow, helping him become one of the best.
Sometimes it’s not about the easy pass, it’s about the right one. If we want him to build confidence, we have to trust him in those moments.
Mbeumo understood straight away… that’s the kind of group we have. We all want the same thing. Champions League football. And for that, we have to think as a team, not as individuals. Everyone’s moment will come.”
Frank Gashumba: The Governor of the Bank of Uganda explained the implications of the Sovereignty Bill, but if there is a determination to pass it, it will still go through. I doubt that these MPs have even watched that clip.

🚨🏆 Manchester United, almost back in Champions League with only one more win needed… if Brighton win all remaining games.
Michael Carrick has already won more PL games than Ruben Amorim as Man United manager this season.
This morning, at the invitation of the Minister of Justice, Hon. @norbertmao, I joined other key leaders including the Principal Judge, the Commissioner of Prisons , the DPP, and various stakeholders for a Juvenile Justice Dialogue.
We engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at finding lasting solutions to the persistent concerns surrounding the management of juveniles within our justice system.
Children are inherently vulnerable and deserve our care and protection by the state even during criminal proceedings. We must remain committed to safeguarding their rights at all times.
Let us all play our part in protecting the rights of our children.
I extend my sincere appreciation to Hon. Norbert Mao for the invitation
🚨 Jürgen Klopp on Paris Saint-Germain vs FC Bayern Munich and the finals:
🗣️ “When you watch a game like that, you see the level immediately. The intensity, the quality, the individual talent — it’s top, top football.
For me, any team that comes out of a tie like PSG against Bayern has a massive chance of going all the way. Honestly, I don’t see many teams being able to cope with that level.
You look at sides like Arsenal FC or Atlético Madrid — very good teams, of course — but against PSG or Bayern playing like that, it’s a different challenge.
Both teams are spectacular, full of amazing talents, and they can decide games in moments. That’s what wins you competitions.”

Today in 2013, Gen David Sejusa wrote his famous letter alleging that there was a plot by Mr Museveni to make his son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, succeed him as president.
In the letter, Gen Sejusa, who was the coordinator of intelligence services at the time, wrote to the Internal Security Organization (ISO), calling for investigations into reports that top military officers, including Gen Salim Saleh and Gen Kale Kayihura, had hatched a plot to eliminate senior government officials opposed to the 'Muhoozi Project'.
Gen Sejusa alleged that he was among those targeted, alongside Amama Mbabazi and the then CDF, the late Gen Aronda Nyakairima, which forced him to flee the country to London.
The Daily Monitor would later, on May 7, 2013, break the story about the letter. They were subsequently shut down by the State, alongside KFM and Dembe, for 10 days. Their offices were ransacked and declared crime scenes.
With time, the Muhoozi Project has become clearer. Gen Muhoozi, an active and serving military officer, has repeatedly affirmed his intention to succeed his father as president of Uganda, with a political outfit launched under his chairmanship for that very purpose.
Gen Sejusa has since been vindicated. Some of those who wanted him crucified over the Muhoozi Project, are now seen hovering around Gen Muhoozi or purporting to be members of his political outfit.

🚨🎙️Robin van Persie on Benjamin Šeško:
🗣️ “I really believe Benjamin Šeško will shake the Premier League next season, especially if Manchester United add more quality around him.
People keep doubting Šeško, but look at the numbers. He already has more non-penalty goals than Gyökeres this season — and he’s done it with fewer minutes, fewer games, and in a Manchester United team that hasn’t exactly been flying. That tells you a lot.
You can also see the type of goals he’s been scoring this season — like the brilliant one yesterday against Brentford. That’s not luck, that’s quality.
He’s still young, he’s learning the league, and you can see the raw attributes — pace, movement, and he’s very good in the air. Give him better service and those numbers go up quickly.
There’s a reason he was Arteta’s first choice. If United build properly around him, he could surprise a lot of people next season.”
