love the weather and taking photos, still isn’t convinced social media is the answer to a question no one asked. Lives in Dunedin, New Zealand 🇳🇿Kia Kaha
@WeatherWatchNZ@weatherbom@Windycom I’m very disappointed the Otago peninsula isn’t about 50km longer, we’d be in for a massive dump. Any chance you know anyone who could work on some extension plans?

WIDESPREAD SNOW – TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS
There is widespread snow and treacherous driving conditions across Dunedin this morning.
Crews are out clearing roads, but the volume, low level and widespread snow means they won’t get to all areas immediately, particularly hill suburbs
Even after around 12 hours of temps around 1C and regular snow fall the concrete is still too warm for snow to settle on. Show’s how good a source of thermal mass concrete is!
@weatherpaulg@weatherbom@WeatherWatchNZ@MetService@therealgregjack@tehoro @CubaRaglanGuy @UKEQ_Bulletin 2 important things to note in these 2 model outputs for the 5 major models. All were in agreement 2 days ago and still are and they are all going for significant falls to sea level. Strangely GFS doesn’t think any of the precipitation will fall as snow?
