@wareaglebronco1@kushcanucks@MileHighMims If Brock Purdy improved by the same amount required for Bo Nix to improve by to become “average” Purdy is going to win multiple MVPs
If I tell you my house is worth $1,000,000, and then you burn it down and I let you settle the debt for $100,000, I’ve revealed that I don’t actually value the house at $1,000,000—whatever I may claim.
The same principle applies to human life. A punishment communicates something about the value of what was wrongfully taken. If human life possesses a unique and incomparable value, then intentionally taking an innocent life creates a debt that no amount of money, property, or years in prison can truly equal.
That is the logic behind capital punishment: not that life is cheap, but precisely that life is so valuable that nothing of lesser value can adequately answer for its deliberate destruction. In that framework, the murderer forfeits his own life because only life can answer proportionately for life.
So the argument for capital punishment is not, “We value life so little that we are willing to take another one.” It is the opposite: we value innocent human life so highly that we refuse to pretend its intentional destruction can be adequately repaid with something less than life itself.
It’s the only position that ACTUALLY highly values life.

@Rachael_wv@gummibear737 Why is that video not in 4k high resolution?
Why the baggy shirt?
Has anyone actually seen stretch marks?
This is highly suspicious.
If she can’t produce photos that we agree aren’t edited that clearly show 4k resolution of her pregnant belly so that we’re satisfied it’s not a Jewish prosthetic then she’s obviously trying to cover up her lesbian with fake pregnancies.
We’re asking questions.
Something seems off.
And the facts she’s denying and getting snarky about stuff only shows that we’re over the target.
