@lukerobertblack Agreed. I live in The Netherlands now and am always shocked at how so many household items can cost 2-3 more than in the UK for identical products (think laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, body lotion, deodorant, etc.)
@BurnsideWasTosh Sheβs been plotting for this moment ever since she was sacked as leader of the Commons last year (possibly before). Then has the audacity to claim it was all Starmerβs decision. No doubt Burnham will reward her with a cabinet role for her work in getting him into No 10 π
@KayBurley I think you're missing the point, Kay. The Education Secretary may be proud, but her policy has effectively weaponised her upbringing to punish others. The consequence? Thousands of SEND children forced out of school mid-year.
@PeterStefanovi2 Paying Β£5K/year out of my NET salary on a Plan 2 loan, and still seeing the balance grow! Low earners hardly pay anything back, the super rich will pay it off quickly and incur little interest, while those in the middle are stuck paying these huge sums for 30 years!
@RupertLowe10 The same thing is happening in The Netherlands. I had to retake my Dutch B1 speaking exam along with everyone else in the country who took the exam that day, because they had discovered fraud. Really unfair to all who followed the rules, prepared and took time off work.
