@amuse I was laid off at age 58 at the beginning of the huge tech layoff tsunami in May 2022. I haven't had a full-time job since. I haven't even had a contract/free-lance gig since Aug 2024.

All I receive, if anything, are rejection emails.
I've given up trying to find anything.

@OH8STN @wyomingsurvival I grew up a north of LA. I was in school out of state in 88-89. I went home to visit my mom and was going through the LA Area at 1030pm on a Thursday night in late 1988.

Wall-to-wall traffic. No accidents. No construction. It was then I decided I'd never live there again.

@IsaacBotkin I started watching "Yes, Minister" back in the mid-80s when it was aired on, I believe, MTV (neither Comedy Central nor its predecessor, The Comedy Channel, had begun). I was dating a British woman who lived in the US & she explained a lot about the show & how it worked in the UK
