@andrevanhorn @minilek @Noahpinion Go look at the data. Crime is not worse than it was during the 1990s and ppl went out all the time. I’ve been living there for a decade and am telling you it’s overblown and not supported by the crime stats.

@minilek @Noahpinion Oakland has problems I know. My girlfriend can’t walk out at night without looking over her shoulder all the time (nor will I let her go out like that) but mid day with all the ppl I see in downtown going out eating this is an absurd view of the city.
