I completely disagree with lowering our flag for Dolly Parton.

Under the Flag Code (4 U.S.C. § 7(m)), the President orders half-staff primarily for principal government figures (presidents, vice presidents, Supreme Court justices, Cabinet secretaries, members of Congress, governors, etc.) and in some cases for other officials, foreign dignitaries, or national tragedies. Presidents have occasionally extended it to leading private citizens as a mark of national respect—Martin Luther King Jr. is a well-known example—but it is not the traditional or routine use for entertainers or cultural figures.

The US Flag needs to remain at full staff.

Mike Johnson has denied the request from Rev. Jesse Jackson’s family and Democrats in Congress to allow his body to lie at the U.S. Capitol, saying this honor is reserved for presidents and certain top federal officials. In contrast, Congress previously approved a special resolution allowing conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s body to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda, even though he was not a president or federal officeholder.

That contrast sends a painful message about whose lives and sacrifices are deemed worthy of our highest public tributes and highest public honors. This is not about protocol, it is about power and disrespect, a deliberate choice to minimize the legacy of a man who bled for this country’s promise of equality. We will not quietly accept this insult to Rev. Jackson, his family, or the movement he helped build.

Let’s be crystal clear. These aren’t “spin.” These aren’t “interpretations.” These are documented lies and legal conclusions — and we’re calling them what they are: lies.

1. Trump said he wasn’t in the Epstein files.
He is in the files. Proven. Period.

2. Trump said he ran to lower prices.
Inflation and costs for everyday Americans are still higher today than when he took office. That campaign promise was flatly false.

3. Trump promised he wouldn’t gut healthcare.
He allowed the enhanced Obamacare subsidies to expire, causing premiums to jump and coverage to worsen for millions. That wasn’t an accident — it was a betrayal of his pledge.

4. Trump claimed he would be a peace-time president.
He escalated military action without Congressional approval. That was a lie.

5. Trump said he lost the 2020 election because it was “rigged.”
Special Counsel Jack Smith confirmed under oath that Trump privately acknowledged losing the 2020 election — even though he repeatedly claimed otherwise in public. That’s a lie layered on top of a lie.

6. Trump said he didn’t try to overturn the 2020 election.
Smith testified that his investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the election and impede the lawful transfer of power, and that the Capitol riot “does not happen without” Trump’s actions.
That isn’t opinion — that’s what the prosecutor said under oath. Trump lied about it.

7. Trump said he respected the rule of law.
He was indicted on federal charges for illegally retaining classified documents and obstructing justice, and Smith explained he had powerful evidence of willful retention of sensitive materials and obstruction.
Claiming he respected the law while hiding classified docs was a lie.

8. Trump said he stood for law and order.
He refused to call off the mob on January 6 while people were in danger, and Smith testified the attack wouldn’t have happened without him.
That claim was a lie.

9. Trump said he couldn’t be bought and wouldn’t abuse his office.
He used his presidency to pardon allies convicted for crimes related to January 6 and pressured officials to manipulate election outcomes. That was a lie.

10. Trump said he always tells the truth.
He has been documented making thousands of demonstrably false statements while also being accused — by the prosecutor himself — of engaging in criminal conduct. Claiming truthfulness after that is the ultimate lie.

Bottom line: These aren’t partisan talking points.
They’re documented claims, sworn testimony, legal findings, public data, and measurable outcomes.

When someone tells the truth, it lines up with reality.
When someone tells a lie, the record — not the rhetoric — reveals it.

This recent discovery by Chairmen @ChuckGrassley and @SenRonJohnson regarding the Biden Justice Department and Jack Smith Arctic Frost investigation is outrageous and beyond the pale. Biden’s Justice Department tracked my phone calls with @POTUS from when I was Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and he was the sitting President of the United States.

This recent revelation is stunning in several ways. The Biden Justice Department officials and Jack Smith admitted this was a fishing expedition without foundation and openly discussed the Constitutional separation of powers issues and moved forward anyway.

It is clear Jack Smith and his team understood there were legal concerns, but blew by them because they wanted to get President Trump and anybody in his wake. This is one of the most dangerous examples of the weaponization of the law in the history of the United States. People need to pay and go to jail. I will most certainly seek my day in court to make sure this never happens again.

The Biden Justice Department was drunk on power. They shredded the Constitution and its system of checks and balances all in order to get President Trump.
