I watched her struggle for breath.

For a few terrifying seconds, I thought I was watching her take her last breath.

She was in my secondary school class.

And that day, something happened that none of us understood.

She had been unusually quiet on our way to class that morning.

Then the pain came.

She looked like her entire body had suddenly become a prison, she could barely move.

The Mishai eventually asked for his money that evening.

I confidently brought out my phone to make a transfer.

Then I checked my account again..₦300

I cleaned my eyes twice to be sure they were still functioning.

Because surely, there had been a mistake.

Turned out, I never had the money.

After devouring two small indomie and one fried egg.

By now, I was already sweating and his eyes were bloodshot red as he yelled.

I thought about running away, but then I remembered I had another option..

And it had always felt out of reach for the average man.

Because, if you needed a loan from an upper class individual, you'd always get asked this question:
