@WeDistrictNurse Southport & formby CCG. We've just been taken over by Merseycare. They have a great training programme for wound care & leg ulcer but no dates untill sept then have to complete 3 wc modules before can start on leg ulcer!! Only have 3 nurses competent at doppler & healthy leg

@WeDistrictNurse Its definitely capacity in our locality. Nurses at their maximum weighting everyday. Have caseloads double the capacity we should be managing. Make me so sad & mad in equal amounts. I got more education done as a worker bee B5!

@WeDistrictNurse They did commission chronic oedema training (which I attended) and when I needed to compress from toes to thigh for lymphorrea & lipoedema - was told no! #wedns

@WeDistrictNurse CCG not having an understanding of what the locality needs. Higher volumes of elderly = higher comorbidities, low mobility = LL oedema!!

@WeDistrictNurse Unfortunatley no. We can compress upto 40mmHg for open wound to the lower limb but will not take on oedematous legs if no break to the skin. Our local Lymphoedema service will not see any patient with a lower limb wound! #weDNs
