People rarely hate you for your flaws. They hate you for your strengths that expose their stagnation. That’s why improvement attracts subtle resistance disguised as concern. Growth is lonely not because you changed, but because others stayed where they were.
Askarov was traded. Knight was traded. Wallstedt was sitting on the podium waiting for you on draft day.
Hell, Silovs was available for spare change.
Edmonton only has itself to blame for its goaltending situation.
@GoilersGunners Last thing. I don’t hate one specific guy. I hate management thinking our goalies are good enough. I hate Holland signing Nurse to 9.5 after he had lucky shooting percentage over 2x his career average that year in the bubble. Jarry may not be the answer but change was needed
@GoilersGunners 74 lost the net in every playoff run he was a part of. His playoff record is 26-22. He was gr8 against DAL but wouldn’t have been there if Picks didn’t bail him out. McDrai had to work with Smith, Kosk, Skinner, Picks… you don’t think over a decade span they deserve more?
