It is nothing short of hypocritical and ignorant to claim to stand against imperialism, occupation, and oppression, while simultaneously defending, or even marching under the banner of, the Iranian regime. At a demonstration in London, flags were held high for a state that executes over a 1000 people a year (official numbers), and which systematically tortures and oppresses its own population. This is not only morally inconsistent, it is a direct insult to those who pay the price for the regime’s brutality.

Those in the West who call themselves the left have completely forgotten that the real Iranian and Kurdish left, the workers, students, intellectuals, the mothers in towns and villages, and political activists have for decades suffered under the very regime that is now being more or less legitimized. Since 1979, countless leftists in Iran have been imprisoned, tortured, and executed. Among them are the founders of the Kurdish-Iranian left, who were brutally crushed. Military tanks against Kurdish homes made of clay, built by tired and sorrowful hands.

When the Western left seems to have lost its moral and ideological foundation by making space for a regime, and raising its flag, that oppresses more than 80 million people in Iran, a further 40 million Kurds, and destabilizes the entire region, is not progressive. It is complicity and complete ignorance.

That is why I urge you to look inward and ask yourselves. Who is it you are truly supporting? And where is your solidarity with the freedom fighters who are currently resisting the regime in the Kurdish and Iranian mountains and villages? With the women and men who, without resources, hide and assist wounded opponents of the very regime whose flag you now hold high? With those who have lost daughters, who have been raped, or who have been sold as slaves, all because they demanded their most basic rights?

Turn toward the real left the one that stands face to face with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The left whose struggle you should be supporting, not the regime’s flag that you are proudly waving today.

🚨 🚨 🚨The damage to Iran’s nuclear weapons program is much more extensive than I believed.

☢️ In Isfahan, Iran had a key facility responsible for converting 90% enriched uranium gas to 90% enriched uranium metal — a critical step towards developing a warhead. That site has been destroyed. Without it and sufficient quantities of this uranium metal, there’s no bomb — unless Iran has another site or can rebuild it quickly. I don’t think they do or can.

🚨 Israel has eliminated 14 nuclear weapons scientists. This is almost all of the weapons scientists they had on their strike list. This is like eliminating Oppenheimer and his top team before the Trinity Test in June 1945.

Can the site be rebuilt? Can the weapons scientists be replaced?

Yes — but this is a serious blow to the nuclear weaponization program of the regime.

Fifteen years ago on this very day, the 2nd of Khordad, 1389 [May 23, 2010], I held you in my arms for the first time at Pars Hospital in Tehran, never imagining that your innocent dreams would be turned to ashes by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I am eagerly waiting for the initial hearing dates at the International Court of Justice in The Hague to be announced in the coming weeks. On those awaited days, when the lawyers of the criminals speak, I will see for myself what they have to offer other than a repetition of a blend of crime, depravity, and lies.

سپاه هنوز در خیابان است و در حال بازداشت و ضرب و شتم مردم هستند.
ما هنوز گروگان رژیم هستیم،
اسرائیل و غرب می‌خواهند رژیم را تضعیف کنند، نه سرنگون.
هدف، کنترل مهار تهدیدات ناشی از رژیم ایران برای امنیت منطقه و جهان است.
در چشم آن‌ها، سقوط رژیم اگر کنترل‌پذیر و بدون آشوب منطقه‌ای باشد، پذیرفتنی است، نه از طریق جنگی طولانی که به آشوب و بی‌ثباتی منطقه بینجامد.
اینجاست که فرصت تاریخی مردم ایران در پس این تضعیف شکل می‌گیرد، فرصتی برای آنکه مردم ایران، خود، کار را تمام کنند.
مردم ایران از این شکاف استفاده نکنند،
شاید باز هم جمهوری اسلامی بازسازی شود، با ظاهری جدید، اما ماهیتی کهنه.
