I’ve been doing really well lately. I had some major breakthroughs in therapy, celebrated my 30th birthday, and am killing it at work. I feel… stable? Two years ago I really believed things would never get better.
I guess I wanted to check in after so long just to say that things can get better. It’s a lot of work, and I am not necessarily happy at this point in my life, but I’m okay more days than I’m not now and that’s progress. We keep going.
Things definitely aren’t perfect and I’m still dealing with many of the same issues, but I’m handling them better and better. Learning to let go of other people’s expectations of me has been extremely hard, but I have gained so much freedom and peace of mind.
@ethereality111 i’m so sorry, I went through this a few years back and it’s really really hard. sending you lots of love 💜
I don’t know if this helps you, but you’re giving her the most peaceful and comfortable way to go in this situation, and that in itself is a huge act of love.
@fakehappi2020 I don’t even hate my job, I just hate that I have to wake up every day just to go to work to live, and it’s too early in the morning and I would rather be doing anything else 😭
I don’t understand how people cope with working all the time for the majority of their lives. I am not coping well and I have to keep doing this everyday until I can retire?!?!
