I also don’t want anyone to forget how at the end of last season all the people who talk on TV and on the net put the pressure on Arteta saying “he has to win the league this year” such a wild thing to say but he’s shut everyone up with the mentality he’s built there, especially when they would have all got the flamethrowers out if he didn’t do it this year, don’t let anyone pretend they wouldn’t love him as there manager
this set of players have shown some big hearts and quality! The day Arsenal went and got Declan Rice was the day they were going to compete yearly for the title! Gabriel and Saliba been the best partnership for a few years and Saka has been the starboy we all know he is! What a day what a moment….I was still wearing Wallabees in school kicking ball last time I got to celebrate 😂🏆 #Arsenal 👏🏿
My Arsenal vs Bournemouth player Rating.
Raya: (6) Solid enough but So lucky not to be punished for poor passes on several occasions.
Ben white: (4.5) Another player that looked off-color in a tepid display, Looked vulnerable to balls behind him every time.
Saliba: (5.5) Weak defending for the cross that led to the first goal, Repelled the visitors for much of the rest of the game though.
Gabriel: (6.5) One brilliant block with his head early on. His shot forced the penalty and he also dangerously nodded down a corner In a game that had the opponent throwing everything at the defence.
Myles Lewis-skelly: (5.5) Strong on the ball in turning out of trouble and passing through the lines in the first half. Became edgy after the break like most of his team-mates
Zubimendi: (4.5) Not a great afternoon for Zubimendi, So cautious on the ball and yet was not secure in possession either. did nothing to stop Bournemouth counters.
Rice: (6) Spent most of the first half occupied with defensive duties but typically dangerous from set-pieces and a long range effort that was deflected over.
Havertz: (4.5) lost possession regularly and missed a free header from 4 yards. Not the answer to the no. 10 role.
Madueke: (5) No conviction when he gets into final third, little defensive work to assist Ben white and only had one good moment where he beat Truffert before playing a decent ball through to Gyokeres.
Martinelli: (4) Seven touches in an invisible first half. Then just one more in the nine minutes after the break before he was replaced.
Gyokeres: (7) A bright spark for the home side, Emphatic penalty and ran the channels really well, looking sharp in behind. Nearly made it 2-2 but close-range shot was deflected behind.
Substitutes.
Eze: (5) Couldn't get on the ball enough to impact the game, just some nice turns.
Trossard: (5) The Belgium was not he's usual self when he came on, bad on the ball, kept tripping over it.
Dowmann: (5) Excitement when he came on but was unable to provide a magic.
G. Jesus (4) No real impact.
Mosquera (4) ineffective as Bournemouth saw out their victory.
Sporting CP vs. Arsenal
Match Preview🗣
The Gunners have suffered back-to-back defeats heading into Tuesday’s quarterfinal first leg against Sporting lisbon with defeats in both domestic cup competitions dashing their quadruple and then treble dreams. After succumbing to a vintage Manchester City spell in the Carabao Cup final, a rotated Arsenal team were beaten 2–1 by Championship high-flyers Southampton in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese Counterparts have scored 13 goals in their last 3 games and have won all their 5 UCL fixtures at home this season also with just one loss in their last 16 matches, and trounced Bodo/Glimt in the round of 16 to reach this stage of the competition.
Arsenal must get their season back on track this evening in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, a competition where they've been the best team so far.
The absence of Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber & Piero Hincapie might have an effect over the EPL leaders but the luxury of squad depth at Mikel Arteta's disposal shouldn't be a problem if the players are ready to arrest their losing run against a sporting side looking to mount a firm opposition.
The Portuguese side are going to be without their captain Hjulmand who is suspended for this encounter.
Expected lineup:
Sporting Lisbon⬇️
Silva; Vagiannidis, Diomande, Inacio, Mangas; Braganca, Morita; Catamo, Trincao, Goncalves; Suarez
Arsenal⬇️
Raya; White, Gabriel, Saliba, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Rice, Odegaard; Trossard, Gyokeres, Madueke
Prediction:
Sporting Lisbon 1-2Arsenal

I actually get anxious about asking people for favours. I hate inconveniencing people, even if it’s something I would do for them in a heartbeat. So strange.
