Please this doesn’t apply to producers who lease beat, cos like they’re getting payed multiple times for one beat, then sales , Haba no ! ( but can be negotiated )
I believe this applies to producers who make custom beats.

When I produce other artists I negotiate for percentage in masters. Though very little, it helps keep me invested in the promotion of the song. I believe producers deserve to make money from sales that’s why I never hesitate to give producers I work with as well as publishing.

As a producer who is entitled to 50% of a song’s royalties etc. It won’t be bad if you join the artists to promote the song too though. It’s not by force o, i just noticed most producers just keep it moving and hope the songs blows so they can eat too.
