@oliveegger I tell the older one to relax in bed and listen to a story on her tonie box, and I’ll be with her in 10 mins. Then I put the younger one to bed. Often by the time I get to the older one, she’s fallen asleep, but if not I read to her until she does.

@BladeoftheS The speech marks are there to indicate that people are saying he’s a hero. Like, if they were saying he was an arsehole it’d say “arsehole” who wrestled… but they’re saying he’s a hero, so that’s why it says that.

@owenjonesjourno They’re part of a terrorist group and are being charged with committing a number of violent crimes, including GBH. It makes complete sense that they wouldn’t be allowed bail. Their hunger strike is an attempt to avoid responsibility for their actions.

@glynjamyn @LeftieStats That article is from the Guardian, what do you suggest I read? I’m aware he’s said he was using the sledgehammer to protect a friend, and that he was out of his depth and panicked. I also think it’s significant that he didn’t smash up a male policeman with a hammer.

@ClickingSeason Hmm. My husband did his homework on his bed in a room he shared with two siblings while his mum shouted at him through the wall. Constantly stressed, disorganised and hungry. I did mine at a desk in my own room while my parents were also working. It was definitely easier for me.

@thegenesisbl0ck Don’t let vanity / squeamishness get in the way of sharing the most extraordinary event of your lives. Yes, he’s gonna see a lot of crazy shit (literally), but it’s a transformative experience for both of you and I think it helps men feel bonded to the baby to be a part of it.
