It just makes our babies even more special, so I do totally understand your heartbreak,
I’m so sorry she’s gone as it’s never ever easy.
Take comfort in knowing she got to experience your love for her & you gave her the best life. So many don’t get that.

This week i’ve been reminded just how far this amazing dog has come. A reminder we say “deaf dog” deliberately to grab attention and stop your scroll, we want people to find this page and see how capable these animals are, don’t look past them.

Please share tonight if you can, there are so many dogs who get adopted and then returned to the shelter because they may not be perfect. Not everyone can adopt a dog with trauma or other difficulties, but if you’ve made the decision to rescue one of these animals, please don’t give up when it’s tough.

Time, love, energy, safety. I understand there are more difficult situations than ours, but these animals need us to understand it’s hard, understand they are afraid, understand it takes time, and understand they’re not perfect but still deserving of love. @HissyPissy I know how you feel. We lost our lovely Lucy on 7th December 2024, and she went downhill in a week. One Saturday she was out in the garden enjoying life, the next Saturday she had passed peacefully away.

Harold was rescued from euthanasia in a British council pound.
Harold is a dinky little terrier who’s only around 5 years old. Sadly, he was left on a site in a caravan when the people moved out. When he was picked up he was covered in fleas and ticks. It became obvious he has one eye missing and awfully docked tail!💔
Despite all this is he a little gentleman who hasn’t put a paw out of place since arriving. He did his seven days in the pound and came very close to being put to sleep as no one came for him. Thankfully we had a foster home free for him!
Harold has been a true gentlemen since arriving in our care. He has happily done everything we have asked of him. He is housetrained and sleeps through the night too.
This dinky lad is great with people and other dogs. Plus he’s good on lead too, he isn’t worried by traffic and travels well in the car!
At the vets he was a super star and allowed a full examination to take place, he is more than happy to be handled. He has passed a health check, started his vaccinations, been flead and wormed.
He’s booked in to be microchipped, neutered and at the same time they going to clean out the eye socket where his eye is missing and get that better for him. Thankfully not a big job and he copes perfectly well with one eye.
Harold is a quiet lad who loves the garden and all the sniffs. He is going to be someone’s best friend.
We feel he could live with or without another neutered dog, he could live with dog savvy children or in active retired home environment. As long as he is loved and gets his walks, he’s a happy lad.
