I personally thank Dr. B Srinivas, Secretary, NMC, for his proactive initiative to address the stress faced by candidates due to delays in NEET PG counselling. 🙏

His timely decision in allowing state-specific ranks for quota allocation brings much-needed relief to all stakeholders waiting for this directive to initiate the counselling process!

We thank Sir and all NMC officials who have kept us in loop regarding this and we will follow this up with NBEMS to get the counselling process started! 🙏

NEET PG 2024 was tentatively set for March 3, then postponed to July 7, then rescheduled to June 23, only to be delayed again to August 11.

Now, two months later, no counseling schedule in sight.

The worst part? There’s *still* no clarity on when it will actually begin.

Young doctors are left wondering: will they even start their NEET PG 2024 residency in 2024—or are they looking at 2025?

With each passing day, the uncertainty around NEET PG counselling is troubling many aspirants. While some may feel it’s better to enjoy the break before residency begins, not everyone has that privilege. Some face difficulties in securing jobs due to contract issues, many mid-rankers are uncertain about whether they’ll get their desired branch, and others were unsure whether to prepare for INI-CET November or take a break, but now the exam is approaching faster than the counselling. Additionally, those considering taking a drop are confused about whether the exam will be in March or later, as not everyone can afford another drop year easily.

It’s utter chaos, with a lack of understanding of the ground realities.
