Finally got the author set. It’s as heavy as the sweat it cost me the last 15 months. It’s worth the effort even if the feeling holding the book is strange like I couldn’t believe we’re done with writing it
@VaughnVernon Not really. I still receive notifications and your post resonated with me. I scrolled your timeline and noticed that all your posts Vaughn have a lot of useful information and quality. I share your concern and this makes me think I did well in stepping out.
Moreover, focusing on different kinds of problems to solve than LOB applications and architectures is enjoyable and motivating. Sometimes there is no choice but to go back to powerful languages like C++ to build parts of modern products.
I have never thought that since I last coded in C++ (more than 20 years ago), I'll be back to it and use it for a few months now. I enjoy it a lot! The language improved, but the tooling, like #JetBrains#CLion, makes it enjoyable. It's an absolute pleasure!
Local optimization means a lack of communication, and in the DDD context, it means creating silos. Teams become experts in their context but may struggle to communicate effectively with others, leading to a disjointed overall system.
In software architecture, local optimization, like creating a DDD model for a single bounded context without considering the entire system, can lead to misalignment. It's like solving a puzzle without seeing the picture on the box. #SoftwareArchitecture#DomainDrivenDesign
There was a lot of sound advice saying that we could address just one BC with the DDD model (core domain) and everything else could support it without requiring DDD modeling, but it was always in mind considering the whole business domain.
50 pages of rapport mostly defining strategies of the information system's modernisation for a big insurance company is done! I hope it finally enable the breakthrough all the teams are waiting for. Thanks @suksr for the helpful guidance.
There is a lot of sound advice on building server-side APIs, but there is little advice on building autonomous clients to be independent of the server changes. It generally requires a lot of work, for example, a client fully compatible HATEOAS for RESTful APIs
@jack_polifka @tjaskula Thanks for reading, @jack_polifka! If you have a few minutes to share your thoughts on @goodreads it would help a lot.

Trying out Twitter again after few months of being off. I can still see the endless content push when refreshing the timeline. Is there a way to just get content from people I follow or just limit this behavior?
@eulerfx I recall one FP disagreement WRT claims of mathematical proof of program correctness. My comments led to the FP guy admitting how impractical that is, and he apologized to the CC guy for his inflammatory statements. I discussed that topic with @tjaskula:
