My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."
While filling in for @PressSec, @marcorubio answers a powerful question: "What is your hope for America at a time such as this?"
His answer blew me away.
ED is taking unprecedented action to uphold Title IX, protect our students, and restore common sense.
Today, we're rescinding portions of six illegal resolution agreements used by prior Administrations to enforce the heavy-handed manipulation of Title IX.
🚨 BREAKING: Retired Marine Joey Jones just NAILED IT on VOTER ID: "If you can't handle proving you're a citizen...I don't give a D*MN if you don't vote again, because I don't CARE what you have to say!"
“If that’s mean or elitist, I really don’t care! And if you’re a politician and those are the people you’re advocating for, I really hope you lose too!" 🔥🔥
“If you’re going to be in the greatest and most prosperous country in the world, you should want to take part in it and give a little to do it."
"JFK said ‘don’t ask what your country can do but ask what you can do for your country’: You can find your birth certificate and go get a free ID to vote. That is what you can do for your country!" 🇺🇸
PASS THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.

Joey Jones:
“I’m a 2A absolutist. You have a right to carry, not a privilege.
But rights come with restrictions, you need your ID & permit on you. Reports say Pretti had neither.
He wasn’t carrying legally.”
If you take away the rhetoric of people seeing everything the President does through an “F Trump” filter, at his core, here is what he’s actually trying to do:
-Stop poison that has killed 100,000 Americans a year from coming into this country
- Securing the border and removing those illegally in our nation that take away resources from those here legally as well as those respecting the immigration process.
- Aggresively trying to stop or slow wars that unavoidably drain our resources
- Stop other nations from taking advantage of us from unbalanced trade deals done by former administrations who don’t understand how business works. They only knew appeasement
- Prove that effective and supported law enforcement can dramatically decrease crime in major cities. You don’t need more programs that only serve to create more of an industrial complex. You just need enforcement, accountability and justice.
- Ensure like in other nations that Americans and Americans alone, dictate what happens in our nation through a fair and honest voting process.
- Ensure no nation attacks us in our home soil or injures our interests globally
- Get Americans back in the workforce by having other nations invest back in the US and getting the able bodied off government assistance is designed for those who truly need it.
The other side is trying to stop him from doing it because it exposes how feckless they have been. Not because what he’s doing would be bad for the country.
I get it. He’s a flawed man. He’s moving too quickly for some people’s tastes who are used to being strung along or watching Dems and republicans play kick the can down the road. Yet despite all of his imperfections and character shortcomings; when I take my emotions out of it, I objectively believe his desire is to move past distractions and put Americans first at home and abroad.
Though I agree that he’s a lot of things I am not a fan of, he wants us to win. Because if we win, he wins. And the guy loves to win.

Nature Is Nonpartisan is officially launching! This week, we are on the ground in the geographical center of America: Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
We've invited politicians on both sides of the aisle to meet in the most center place we could think of!
The Biden Admin has just officially abolished Title IX as we knew it. Now, sex = gender identity.
In a nutshell, the new rewrite means:
- men can take academic AND athletic scholarships from women
- men will have FULL access to bathrooms, locker rooms, etc
- men could be housed in dorm rooms with women
- students and faculty MUST compel their speech by requiring the use of preferred pronouns
If the guidelines above are ignored or even questioned, then YOU can be charged with harassment.
This is where Jesus is said to have been buried — and then resurrected.
But is it the real tomb? How do we know?
Well, in 2016 it was opened for the first time in centuries... (thread) 🧵
The whole Green New Deal is falling apart right before our eyes.
If I know Democrats- and I do- we’re about to witness one of the biggest green bailouts in history.
