I took a tumble today, scraped up my knee and elbow. I can't recall the last time I fell while sober. I've lost my footing before, but always regained my balance before face-planting. It also surprised me how thin my skin is now producing a lot of blood from a little road rash.

@MikePMoffatt The Condominium bust effected mortgage rates, not rental rates. Rented units in Condominiums went at a premium and drove up rates for the neighboring buildings, it became the new market value. Supply would have to exceed demand, and that's not profitable.

@MikePMoffatt Rent prices went up on average in 1990. I lived in Toronto then as I do now. I got married in 87, I can tell you rent has always gone up where new apartments were built in Toronto. Look at Parkdale, the Beeches or the Lakeshore in the 90s. All got drastically more expensive.

@MikePMoffatt Can you give me a real world example of new rentals driving down the price of rent? Because generally speaking new rentals have to rent at a higher rate to recoup the investment, the higher rent justifies older neighboring rentals to jack up their rates to match the new rentals.
