We should nuke the filibuster to pass the SAVE America Act.
If we don’t have the votes to nuke the filibuster, we should put the SAVE America Act on the floor and debate it until it passes, requiring filibustering senators to speak and making clear that if they stop speaking, we can “call the question” and pass it with a simple majority.
If for some reason we can’t do that—and to be clear, there’s no legitimate reason why we can’t—then we should use budget reconciliation to pass it.
But not passing the SAVE America Act is not an option.
Neither is taking a lengthy recess without doing any of the above.
Sure, Fauci is a corrupt scumbag, but the ONLY fight that matters in the Senate is unfolding NOW.
Senators Mike Lee and Bernie Moreno are going ALL OUT to push a congressional stock trading ban and a VOTER ID bill.
Where is @LeaderThune? He should be LEADING the charge, not holding press conferences and issuing empty promises.
Get it done, @SenateGOP.
Yes, that's correct.
@Achilles4Idaho, the de facto DEMOCRAT nominee for US Senate for Idaho, has paid $20K to Unbridled Strategies and another $4,900 directly to Matthew Hebb, CEO of Unbridled Strategies. Hebb is a *REPUBLICAN* Precinct Committeeman in the @ADAGOPCC. PC 19-09.
@MikeCrapo@SenatorRisch wake up and get involved and serve your constituents. Don’t be a no show, instead put your name on the list to get the #saveact passed.
Prop 1 (aka the "Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act") is a ballot measure Idaho votes on this November....
Pass it and "reproductive freedom" becomes state law, legalizing abortion (most people know that).
But there's a second Easter egg hidden in it that almost nobody is talking about.
And it ought to worry anyone who believes children deserve protection from mutilation.
Because Democrats wrote this initiative to open the door to transing kids. They buried broad "reproductive healthcare" and "privacy" language that could shield puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries from future bans.
This is a Democrat-backed Trojan horse and anyone who wants to protect children should see this initiative for exactly what it is.
In 2023 we passed the “Vulnerable Child Protection Act,” stopping Democrats from pushing puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and trans surgeries on Idaho kids. But pull up the upcoming initiative and it never names that law. Not once. But since every syllable got lawyered before it ever touched a clipboard, what's missing is missing on purpose.
Here’s how it works: if passed, the initiative grants a right to "reproductive health care that directly impact the person's own body," then lists a bunch of pregnancy/abortion-related stuff. But five little words sit in front of that list: "including but not limited to." For a lawyer, that's an open door.
So now let’s imagine a liberal judge's argument here. Hormones and surgeries? Those are “healthcare.” Impact a person's own body? About as directly as “medicine” gets. That leaves one word doing the lifting: "reproductive." And since these trans surgeries can leave a child permanently sterile, tell me what's more tied to reproduction than a treatment that ends the ability to reproduce.
Some lefty lawyer will make that argument, a woke judge will nod along, and Idaho kids will lose big.
One more phrase sits at the front: "Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary." Translation?
Whatever a court says this right covers beats every statute already on the books (e.g. our child protection law).
So it's whatever a black robe says it is, until a higher court reverses it, or you go back to the ballot and fight the whole thing over again. Vote no in November and the child protection law stays put. Easy. Replacing a leftist judge, though?
That could take a decade.
Think I’m paranoid? Look at Ohio. They had similar open-ended language in their 2023 amendment. Their ban on these procedures for minors got gutted by an appeals court. But the court didn't even need the new 2023 amendment because it reached back to older "health care freedom" language that was already there and did the job. And if this initiative passes here, Idaho's handing a court sharper tools than Ohio did.
A nation judged by how it guards its children. This initiative fails them at both ends because abortion and transing kids would both be back on the menu in Idaho. The people running this template state to state cash in. Kitchen tables don't write "notwithstanding any other provision of law." Lawyers on retainer do.
If this was only about abortion, the drafters could say so in one sentence (it’d cost them nothing). So ask, out loud, why that one sentence isn't in there. Because I think this was never just about abortion. It brings abortion back, yes, but it also cracks the door for a judge to sterilize and transition kids behind their parents' backs.
And a decent person says no to both, loudly, in November.
Legal and lawful immigrants should come to America for the true American Dream: to be self-sufficient and provide for themselves and their families. They should not be reliant on government welfare. My End Welfare for Non-Citizens Act will put a stop to this and put Americans first. @LisaMarieBoothe
Sen. Ron Johnson: “Are there any studies on the Amish?”
Dr. Brian Hooker: “The only cases of Autism in the Amish population were among adopted children who had been vaccinated BEFORE joining Amish families. ZERO cases in unvaccinated Amish-born kids.”
This is devastating.
An entire unvaccinated population with ZERO autism in their own children — until vaccines are introduced.
Why isn’t this front-page news? Why has this data been buried?
The Amish are living proof of what happens when you don’t inject infants with 70+ doses of vaccines.
Our kids are being poisoned while they gaslight us and call it “coincidence.”
This isn’t about “better diagnosis.” This is about what we’re injecting into our babies.
Say NO to the shots... for your children & for yourself.
Idaho, I want your feedback.
The House is set to vote this week on legislation to make daylight saving time the new standard time, preventing the twice-yearly clock changes.
Do you support making daylight saving time permanent nationwide?
In the span of 24 hours, a federal judge ruled that a governor can’t be investigated for helping illegal aliens stealing taxpayer money evade the law.
Then a foreign-born judge named Sparkle ruled the government can’t verify whether those same illegal aliens are voting illegally.
Then another judge ruled taxpayers must buy illegal aliens and their anchor babies all the junk food they can cram into their shopping carts.
That happened. In that order.
We can either have a country or out-of-control judges, but we can’t have both.
Today the Supreme Court ruled on a family that lost a $194,400 home over a disputed $2,242 tax bill. It held the Constitution does not require paying you your home's real value. The property tax is the only tax that can take your home. This is why the Idaho Republican Party voted to end it. #idleg
This week the Idaho GOP put the elimination of property taxes into its platform. I moved the amendment on the convention floor, and the delegates adopted it by a standing vote. The platform now calls property tax "an inherently unjust tax." Not reduce. End it. #idleg
Illegal immigration costs Idaho $405 million per year. $616 per household.
$245M to education. $76M to law enforcement. $84M to healthcare and services.
After all taxes paid, the net cost is still over $300 million. In 2009 it was $188 million. More than doubled.
Idaho should not subsidize federal failure.
