The last administration pushed globalist (America-last), negligent, and often outrageously costly economic policies. We should celebrate the hundreds of thousands of hours of strategic, cost cutting deregulatory actions by the Trump administration. Because of their work, macro costs are now trending downward and as a direct result, grocers like Giant Eagle, Meijer, Walmart, C&S (Piggly Wiggly), and many small and independent companies are cutting prices on tens of thousands of items for Americans. The bevvy of early deregulatory and policy actions by the Trump administration are now truly hay in the barn for American consumers heading into the fall and winter. These will continue to show up in savings at the grocery store. Here’s just a sampling of the largest actions:
✅Day 1 freezing of Biden-era rules which averted $180B in costs ($2,100 savings/family of four).
✅Ending Endangerment finding + vehicle GHG standards repealed — $1.3T savings, new cars/trucks are now ~$2,400 cheaper.
✅HFC/refrigerant rules relaxed — ~$2.4B savings, lower food storage costs.
✅DEF deratements and costly sensor mandates fixed — $12–13B+ annual savings for truckers and farmers.
✅Fertilizer duties suspended + domestic production accelerated — ~$1.8B phosphate savings alone.
✅Natural gas and pipeline permitting streamlined — faster builds, more supply, lower energy costs.
✅Farm equipment right-to-repair secured — free access to tools, software, and fixes.
✅H-2A farm labor wage rates cut — multi-billion annual savings for producers.
✅Working Families Tax Cuts delivered tens of billions in direct household and manufacturing tax and price relief.
✅NEPA and energy permitting reform — hundreds of categorical exclusions to speed due diligence along, with approvals in as little as 28 days vs. months and years before.

Just three short months ago, critics claimed nothing was done to prevent the screwworm & that an infestation of the U.S. was underway. It never happened. Today, there is only 1 single screwworm case in the USA.

The same people who were openly welcoming a screwworm infestation while making bogus claims about the inaction of our leaders are now claiming last week’s actions to stop the abuse of ranching by both meatpackers and an overpopulation of wolves are nothing, even though they are the most aggressive actions taken on either topic for decades.

The reason there is no media coverage of screwworm success is the same reason there is no coverage of meatpackers’ anticompetitive behavior and of tens of millions of $$ in annual cattle losses by ranchers from the overpopulation of apex predator wolves who couldn’t be killed or disturbed even while literally killing and eating a cow or a family dog (or while devastating wild game populations).

Media attention or not, just like the screwworm, meatpackers and wolves are being stopped from predatory behavior with ranchers, and the receipts will show the results.

Ranchers are the reason we still have wildlife in the west. They do not cause wildlife habitat loss. Wildlife need grass to survive. They even sometimes need it along hundreds of miles of migration paths. That grass doesn’t just take care of itself between wildlife visits. Why do we never hear about any alternatives to ranching nor of any of the costs of taking care of grasslands without having beef cattle and ranching on the land? That’s because it’s not possible for wildlife to survive without ranching — grasses that wildlife need don’t survive without both disturbance and rest, and it is simply too costly to do that at scale without using cattle.

Ranching in the west largely mimics the way the land was used by buffalo and other ruminants before cattle arrived. Ranchers have not only written the book on modern resource stewardship in the west, but their continued presence on the land is the primary reason there are any resources like wildlife left to even look after.

Many western e-NGOs raise money and gain power by playing politics with American ranchers — this included billions from U.S. government grants from past administrations. Don’t believe for a second that this about wildlife. Unfortunately, their games have real consequences with our national herd numbers now just starting to show signs of a rebound from decades of decline. Fortunately, their games are now out in the open and fighters like @LaLONeill are showing up to make sure ranchers can keep doing what they do for all of us.

🚨 FERTILIZER UPDATE 🚨

Following @POTUS’s temporary relief from countervailing duties on Moroccan phosphate fertilizer, OCP North America’s first shipment has arrived in America — approximately 54,000 metric tons, enough to support fertilizer application across more than 1 million acres.

This is immediate relief while we build the long-term solution.

America imports roughly 50% of the 20 million tons of fertilizer we use each year. That is why President Trump is lowering costs NOW while reshoring fertilizer production at Trump speed.

His action is expected to save farmers $1.8 BILLION annually.

But America cannot remain dependent on imports for critical farm inputs.

That’s why @USDA is working across the Trump Administration to cut red tape, advance permitting reform, strengthen competition, and expand American fertilizer production.

We are coordinating with @ENERGY on Energy Dominance Financing, working hand-in-hand with @Interior and @SecretaryBurgum to secure critical fertilizer inputs like phosphate and potash, and partnering with DOJ through a competition MOU to protect farmers from anti-competitive practices in agricultural input markets.

We are already seeing results. Through federal coordination, the Administration helped move the world’s largest ammonia plant by nameplate capacity through federal permitting review in roughly 45 days — after companies were told it could take years.

And @USDA is investing $500 MILLION through the FIELDS Program to expand American fertilizer production, storage, transportation, and infrastructure.

Relief today. American fertilizer production tomorrow. 🇺🇸

This good news is because of actions taken starting from day one of the Trump Administration:
✅USDA’s SPUR program boosting production through $500M in new investments for Ranchers to have more options in getting beef processed
✅Cross-cutting investigations for anticompetitive behavior amongst the 4 current processors that control 85% of the beef processing market
✅Working Families Tax Cuts helping businesses stay in the family
✅Voluntary Country of Origin Labeling helping consumers recognize superior American beef
✅ ~24 Million acres of unused grazinglands made available through USDA and DOI streamlining permits and prioritizing opening of vacant/closed allotments
✅New World Screwworm (NWS) held out of America for more than a year beyond estimates and minimal impact to herds today through systematic, all-of-government border surveillance and fly eradication efforts
✅Prioritization of Beef and other healthy, real foods atop the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans (the food pyramid) and in all existing gov’t-funded meals
✅Hundreds of millions invested by USDA in regenerative grazing systems that are lowering production costs
✅20 new Ag. trade deals with countries including 7 to outright restore purchase of U.S. beef and many others to lower trade barriers and provide certainty to U.S. producers
