@ChentsovaY77157@AlanLevinovitz So true. It's also the ability to make important connections among the disciplines, such as art and religion, architecture and power structures, history and themes in literature, etc. It adds meaning to experiences.
@thisguyknowsai It's not forgotten. It is taught in study prep courses which are voluntary at most universities and require the student to take the initiative. Most choose not to.
@EricDLombardi It also fails to address the issues negatively affecting certain housing markets: money laundering, financialization, recklessness and offshore investment. Instead, it incentives it.
@HarmanBhanguBC I wonder how much of a density bonus the developers received when they told the city these units will be affordable. The incentives for cramming units are significant. Livability and sustainability got left behind quite some time ago.
@estherzelda0514 Thats interesting. I just started reading Jack Sisson's book "Born to Walk" which discusses this in detail and includes lots of research references. It questions all the approaches many of us gym rats and runners followed, addressing weight and injuries.
@jonkay I don't get the appeal. I like drag and I loved story time. I just wouldn't combine them. The kids are too young to appreciate makeup artistry and a good storyteller brings attention to the story, not themselves.
@BradWestPoCo Evaluating the effectiveness of regulations is something that should be done on a regular basis. Also should include assessing risk and unintended effects. Too often councils enact a big solution to a one-off occurrence which negatively impacts business.
@DavidColetto Not surprising. It's a longer term issue. It also shows that we haven't done a great job of moving past the awareness raising stage to get to effective implementation strategies that build economic strength. The deprivation model doesn't work.
@SarahjevsEvans Maybe they'll come out with kitty belly bands they use for post c section and hysterectomy. It would give her tummy some support. She looks adorable and the onesie helps retain more dignity than those annoying cones.
@Pergament_F Great post and wonderful turns of phrase: "...well organized bakery with constitutional complications." That's brilliant, and so unfortunate that it was never used in political science classes.
@howardanglin It's also confusing the process of governance. He's using the courts and an unusual interpretation to create policy. If that's the desire he should run for office and promote changes to legislation.
@jkenney True, but separatist and limited issue parties don't need to win in Canada to be effective. They just need to win enough to command attention to disrupt status quo. Sometimes a force for good and sometimes it holds the country hostage to constant demands.
@simongerman600 Two different objectives. Child friendly spaces focus on facilities and services. Mobility policies focus on providing options for those accessing services, facilities and jobs. 15 minute cities are designed to enhance non vehicular options.
