USS Mustin (DDG 89) fires a new Mark 38 Mod 4 30mm gun during an exercise, April 17, 2026. The Mark 38 Mod 4 has a larger gun than the MOD2 and 3, a new sight and a coax 50 cal mg. It is for C-UAS/counter small boat use, and the USN is procuring C-UAS ammo for the purpose.
