Congratulations to @sunrisemvmtdtx and the young people in Dallas who organized for free public transit and won. The climate movement is strong. And it’s victories like yours that make me sure—we will keep fighting for free public transit all across the country and we will win.
"We went to Walmart today, and my nephew Lakken happens to see an elderly man that was having a hard time shopping and finding things due to him not being able to lift his head up and see straight.
He can see the ground and barely the sides of him, so that’s when my nephew Lakken looks at me and goes, ‘Aunt Ry can I please help him?’ I said, ‘Yes.’
My nephew went up to the man and asked him if he would like some help. His eyes lit up and said, ‘Well, yes that would be amazing young man, thank you so much.’ Lakken was running all over the place for this man and he was so happy.
The man told us he hasn’t had help in years, and he was so happy he ran into an amazing smart young man like Lakken!
I was so proud of him! Lakken went and helped him check out and bag his stuff as well and had them call the show bus. The man tried to tip Lakken and my nephew said, ‘Oh thank you but I don’t need this. I enjoyed helping you, you keep your money’. I’m beyond proud of my nephew Lakken.
You don’t see or get many people, let alone children, who do these things for people.”

Our military's diversity is a strength, not a weakness.
It's a necessary part of warfighting and all successful military operations.
And our unity out of many – not division – ensures good order and discipline, unit cohesion and effectiveness, and military readiness.
When I signed the PACT Act into law, America took a critical step towards fulfilling our sacred obligation to care for our veterans and their families.
I urge all toxic-exposed veterans to go to https://t.co/1t03ye1p8D to learn more and apply for the benefits you earned.
Today is Black women’s equal pay day.
Black women make 64¢ for every dollar a man makes, undermining our economic stability.
The Equal Rights Amendment will help level the playing field, advancing Black women's economic empowerment.

Improving our mental health system means addressing the “three Cs:” coverage, care, and causes.
Yesterday, we took a big step on coverage.
Now, we must expand care, and confront the root causes of pain and trauma that many are feeling.
@CalltoActivism He will not be missed. Time to turn the page. We've had the length of his career as a blocker of progress and democracy. There is nothing redeeming about Mitch, now he'll get first-class government health care for the rest of his miserable existence here on Earth.
