And Jesus' divinity doesn't hinge on whether Mary was sinless, nor whether she had marital sex after His birth or not.

But when RCC speaks of "immaculate conception" they aren't talking of Jesus', and "prots" don't realize that and can be deep into a debate or convo before finding out.

Not surprised, as the laity generally doesn't grasp the theology being claimed & treats Mary as divine & incarnate with powers of mediation. Hence the danger of the doctrine surrounding Mary & what it leads layman to.
