You don't need to prove phones cause anxiety to justify a school phone ban.
You need to prove their impact on learning.
And given their ability to distract, the default should be school phone bans, and you should have to prove they enhance learning in order to unban them!
btw the quizlet ai enhanced chat will literally ask you questions about the set you made and it's pretty smart and accurate i'm in love it's a very interactive way of studying and it makes it less boring than reading
Studies on the role of background music for sake of learning and attention show varied results but collectively show that if your goal is focus and information retention then working in silence > purely instrumental music > music w/lyrics… BUT that listening to music during brief (5-20min) breaks between cognitive tasks (done in silence) is best.

Love seeing Gen Z get excited about our new edtech features, now trending on TikTok!
This turns study content into songs, using AI for lyrics (@OpenAI) and vocals (@__UBERDUCK__ ), rewarding students at the end of a study session on Quizlet.

@itspeterbrown My son read The Wild Robot all summer, dozens of times, and is counting down the days! (He has also read The Robot Escapes, but not as many times!)
If you clone on correct answers that aren't in the knowledge graph, you're teaching the net to hallucinate.
If you say "don't know" to answers that are in fact in the knowledge graph, then you're teaching the net to withhold information unnecessarily.

Q Chat in Quizlet such a gréât feature ! My students get to practice before a test and they get feedback including vocabulary, story reading interpretive and sentence formation. It gives corrections as well!
@quizlet integrated ChatGPT and... I'm amazed. You can pick a study set and it will generate a story based on the flashcards and ask you questions about it. Here it is on my German set:
I promise this isn't sponsored.
@arthur__sparks @quizlet@OpenAI Testing prompts & different wordings that could handle many scenarios, interspersing our own content and logic into the conversation, handling latencies, non-English language learning, content moderation...
Had a blast making a conversational AI tutor on @quizlet as a launch partner for the ChatGPT API with @OpenAI, and I'm excited about how much more we can do.
It's so fun seeing the great feedback come in already from students and teachers using it!
Umm... wow... @quizlet is using AI Chat (Q-chat) to help students practice vocabulary in story mode....
I "messed up" on purpose but it seems to have some leniency built in. These next few years of EdTech tools are gonna be wild.
