5 things I wish I knew before attending a Junior College in Florida for baseball:
1) Being a great player at a smaller school is far more fun than being someone who barely plays at the big stage.
Can’t hammer that one home enough.
2) The experience is truly humbling in the best way possible. When people ask where you go to college, or where you play, they most likely will never have heard of your school.
It’s tough because you feel lesser than them in the moment. I found myself always trying to hype it up to impress others, but eventually realized this was not necessary at all.
Huge life lesson.
3) The relationships hit different. There is much less to do at some smaller schools, but the PEOPLE is what makes the experience.
Lesser situations bring people together much closer, and the bond of the people you met there will always be something you cherish.
4) Going to a junior college whether it’s for sports or school is financially an incredible decision.
You won’t get the clout or exposure like attending the power 5 school, but you can get a full ride and set yourself up for life financially.
5) The better schools for baseball in Florida for baseball are mini D1 programs. The depth falls off faster, but the talent is very similar towards the top of the lineup/starting pitching.

@FlatgroundApp
God is so good! Had to transfer within a couple days and I ended up right where I wan to be! A lot goes into finding the right place and when you don’t have time to figure those things out it makes it a lot harder to find the right fit. But God led me here to FSC and it’s perfect
