@MekondjoKondja Good point. It’s crazy how the moment government increased the housing subsidy from N$800,000 to N$1.4 million, house prices suddenly also jumped to around N$1.4 million, even houses that were previously selling for N$800,000.
It’s only true if being a legal practitioner also implies being devoid of moral principles & one should use the system to bully, discredit & insult state witnesses in an attempt to have one’s paying client go free. How should innocence be proven, by manipulation & tantrums?
State President - N$146 000 per month
CoW CEO - N$300 000/month

NAMCOR CEO - N$230 000/ month

No SOE CEO should earn more than HALF the President's salary.
RETIRING ... Executive director (ED) of home affairs, immigration, safety and security Etienne Maritz is retiring from the public service on 31 July. This was said by prime minister Elijah Ngurare in a statement announcing the transfer of various EDs on Wednesday. "I wish to take this opportunity to thank Maritz for the excellent service rendered during this time as a public service servant," Ngurare said. Maritz was appointed in 2019 and served as deputy permanent secretary in the department of public service management in the Office of the Prime Minister prior to that, and as ED in the president's private office. Former justice ministry ED Nghidinua Daniel replaces him from 1 August. Photo: Contributed
In my opinion, it is wrong to put on auction primary residence of someone that has paid for it for over 10 years when they default for less than 6 months for example. The auctioning price is usually a pittance. Let’s afford such a person ample time to restructure their repayment.
Therefore whilst we are working on implementing a necessary legislative intervention, I wish to appeal to financial institutions et al to pause this inhumane practice. Shelter is a human right too.
So it’s politically impossible and a taboo for opposition parties to applaud and congratulate a Swapo Party deployed Minister when they are doing well?
Another man gone too soon.
A Namibian Navy officer has died by suicide, and while we may never know the full story behind his pain, one thing is clear: we are not talking enough about the emotional weight men carry.
The boy child has been making headlines for days now. Not because he’s loud, but because his silence is finally breaking. Suicides. Violence. Emotional collapse behind closed doors.
Rest easy, officer. Your story matters, even in your absence.
