The victory of this movement that could not have secured a different result was secured by violence, nothing else: by violence cheered on by the leadership of the Democratic party and its affiliates across institutional America. The UC Board of Regents commissioned a rigorous study of the SAT by its own faculty that found that it was not racially biased and was a necessary component of university admissions. The recommendations came in February 2020 and were scrapped by the year's end solely in deference to an orgy of mindless violence that helped no one and inflicted disproportionate harm on the very communities in whose names the violence was rationalized. More than a half-decade later we remain in thrall to a failed policy that could only have a failed because we give every moronic left-wing nostrum a decade of running room before we accrue enough data to prove that the thing that every sane person knew would happen has happened.

The goal for the politics of the 21st century is to shut down this pipeline of moronic nostrums forever.
