A4 If I were to leave teaching, I would most likely pursue some sort of employment as a writer. I think I would like to work as a newspaper investigative reporter. I would also like to tutor middle and high school students on a one to one basis. #ap3040

A3 I was surprised to see that salaries are actually higher than I expected them to be. Of course, a great teacher is priceless, but it was a pleasant surprise to see that they were not as low as I expected them to be. #ap3040

A2 Having at least one mentor at their school would help a great deal in teacher retention. In addition, a supportive principal and a welcoming environment would be beneficial. #ap3040

A5 I DO plan to have a class social media account. Some of my children's teachers have set them up, and I truly feel like it makes the students feel part of a group-- more like "family" and less like a number or warm body taking up space in a classroom. :) #ap3040

A4 I personally love Instagram and use it often. I could see myself setting up a separate account and allowing my students and/or their parents to follow me where I would post information relevant to what we are studying and/or supplemental info to an assignment. #ap3040
