@fredhutch@SeattleMet You can’t blame Fred Hutchinson cancer center. This was taken upon by Seattle Met Magazine ”Here is Seattle Met’s annual list of the best health care professionals in the region, featuring doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and more in over 80 specialties.”
@HalstedMD The DNP, or doctorate of nurse practice, is meant for education, NOT, to be confused as Doctor of medical practice. When I am seeing patients my name is NP Tanya, when I am teaching it’s Dr Bronzell-Wynder. I don’t know what is so confusing for my “colleagues” 🤔

@Suburbanbella@bitterNP @LaigSchol @HalstedMD Here here! 19 years as an NP, and unfortunately I have seen very scary students that I have had no problem reporting to the schools or when teaching having clinical put out. Now thus situation here I had happen to me once. It was quite scary and upsetting. I had to get my MD help
@HalstedMD Involved because this brick and mortar school started harassing me because I told them absolutely not! While I am disappointed in various things, not all things in my profession, this did leave a mark on me. I graduated over 19 years ago and this was not something I ever heard of
@HalstedMD The country then even falsified she was with me from 9am to 2am in the morning. I am a NP and I never work hours like this. The school response was we already processed the paperwork for the graduation can’t you sign off so she can walk? I actually had to get my medical director
@Faithfulone77@drapedinpraise@standforpts@HalstedMD Exactly!See my post above, & unfortunately they seem to accept everyone into the program now! When I went over 20+ years ago not only did you have to have experience as a RN(critical thinking) you had to go through an interview process with faculty to see if you were a candidate
@standforpts@drapedinpraise@HalstedMD Unfortunately NP schools do not place students. Which leads these students to fund their own placement or my experience a few years ago for a student to falsify their hours, yes I’m an NP and I love what I do but I don’t agree with today’s standards they have changed in 28 years
