My heart is with CDC staff & all public health workers facing violence & hostility. Your work saves lives. We must protect you—and the truth—from fear & misinformation.
In 2009, I was a DFHCC CURE scholar - an opportunity that shaped my career in health equity + research. This year, I walk in memory of my cousin Zerfalem, who passed from stage IV lung cancer on 10/5/18

How does one get in touch with the #ETH immigration/tourism offices?? They took my money for this #evisa but are not answering my calls or emails … it’s been a week!!! I leave tomorrow. Everyone else applied after me and have visas. What’s up?
My dissertation data was attacked by bots, therefore I am still collecting and would greatly appreciate any help! I am recruiting Black women, ages 18 and up! Those interested can DM me or email me and I will send a link. Please share widely!

On this #WorldDiabetesDay, we would like to let the world know that according to #Ayder Hospital, there are 26,768 ppl living with diabetes in #Tigray, where 16,420 of them are type one, totally insulin-dependent. Currently, under brutal siege, not able to get their medications.
They also asked the MOH & EDA along with potential partners, to immediately respond to this catastrophic loss of innocent lives due to the lack of diabetic health supplies. And to address this urgent need to salvage lives and respond without any delay.@FMoHealth#WorldDiabetesDay
As stated by #Ayder Hospital, among the 26, 768 people living with diabetes in Tigray, 16,420 of them are type one, totally insulin-dependent. And 8,224 of them are #children under the age of 14.
They are all unable to get their lifesaving medication due to the siege on #Tigray.
yesterday was a heavy day for me: as a #T1D myself, it was very hard to think of all the people in Tigray living with diabetes during this civil war. Denying #T1D access to appropriate care robs them of decades of life & leads to various comorbidities & severe organ damage.
Today Nov.14, the world is celebrating diabetes day with theme of "Access to diabetes education" But health professionals & patients in #Tigray are out of education & treatment.Still Insulin not arrived to Tigray. In this day we demand fast action.@IntDiabetesFed@FMoHealth@ICRC

I enjoyed my high school so much that I sent my goddaughter there as well. We are both BOLD, her more than me a lot of the time. Help us reach our goal! #GivingTuesday

People in Axum, Tigray are drinking holy water in prayer that it will fill their hungry starving stomachs. I will never forget nor forgive anyone involved in #TigrayGenocide small of big. Will never.
